Prints and Paintings

After spending most of her adult life as a musician and music teacher, Amy used the change of circumstances caused by the 2020 lockdowns to get back to art and has continued to work in this field alongside her music work since then.

She has recently been focusing on capturing the joy and energy of her two dogs in the water.

She says: “I enjoy watching them have so much fun and it always lifts my spirits even if it was a struggle to get out for a walk. Capturing the beauty of the light glinting off their wet fur and the reflections in the water is a challenge but so worth the effort. I hope the paintings give the viewer that sense of pure joy that inspired me to paint them.”

Amy also creates reduction lino prints based on British wildlife and of course, dogs.
